Radiology Interest Group Africa (RIGAf) is an interest group for African medical professionals with an interest in Radiology; We hope to inspire and support the career aspirations of those with an interest in pursuing a Radiology career in Africa and Internationally by providing educational opportunities, mentorship and increasing awareness of available resources.
Goal/Aims:
- To improve specialty awareness for early stage medical students and doctors interested in Radiology
- Provide vertical and peer-to-peer mentorship opportunities to our members
- Academic development of members through research journal meetings, publications aid, and guidance.
- Innovation support via research, pan-african and global collaboration; be able to conduct multicenter and international studies via collaboration
- To help connect members to fellowship/Job opportunities/observership taster weeks.
- Create a resource bank/ directional materials for those with an interest in radiology training. We would prioritise directing people to existing resources rather than reinventing the wheel.
